Since 1996, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) has been recognizing STEM teachers from across the country through the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST)!

What is PAEMST? The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) honors K-12 STEM teachers just like you, every year.

Who can apply? Individuals with at least 5 years of STEM teaching experience who currently teach at the K-6 grade level. Teachers at the 7th-12th grade level will be eligible in the fall of 2022.

Why apply? Awardees receive a trip to Washington D.C., to celebrate their achievements; a certificate signed by the President; a $10,000 award from NSF; and the opportunity to build lasting partnerships with colleagues from across the nation.

When is the deadline? Nominations will be accepted through January 7, 2022, and applications are due by February 6, 2022.
